Minnesota One-Stop for Communities (MN One-Stop) is a dynamic, 8-year-old non-profit organization with its main office located in Roseville, MN. We offer services to thousands of low-income families throughout the State of Minnesota and work with some of the most vulnerable individuals in our community: those experiencing housing instability, long-term homelessness, child protection involvement, low-income, and people of color. Through its Parent Mentor Program, Housing Program, and Shelter Program, MN One-Stop provides emergency shelter, stable housing options, and one-to-one mentors who support families as they navigate the child welfare system. We also offer housing navigation, referrals, community resources, and case management

all to support individuals through crises and to set goals for future success. MN One-Stop is dedicated to delivering high-quality, dignified services that empower people to create healthy, stable lives.

WARMING SHELTER STAFF

We are looking for applicants to work with our team to provide a clean, safe, and secure environment to those living outside without housing or shelter during the cold winter months. Our goal is to reduce harm and save lives. Responsibilities include intake, cleaning, stocking supplies, and ensuring a warm, safe and caring environment out of the cold. Staff persons must be knowledgeable of conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques. CPR Certified is preferred but not required.

Shifts: 8 PM - 8 AM

Rate:  $23.50/hour

Start Date: December 1, 2024

HOUSING NAVIGATOR

The Housing Navigator is a member of the Housing & Shelter Team and works collaboratively with other team members and leadership to provide a clean, safe, and secure environment to residents. This position requires someone with strong engagement and motivating skills as they link families/individuals/youth with housing and manages financial assistance funds (application fees, security deposits, first and last month’s rent).

PARENT MENTOR

The Parent Mentor is a member of the Parent Mentor Program and works one-to-one with families involved with the child welfare system. The Parent Mentor has a personal experience with the child protection system and can guide families past the challenging (and sometimes impossible) barriers affecting their family togetherness. The Parent Mentor works in the community with parents, including in family homes. Due to the non-traditional nature of this position, the Parent Mentor must be flexible and able to quickly adapt to change. The Parent Mentor is a mandated reporter and possesses a high degree of confidentiality.

Shifts: 7 AM - 3 PM

           3 PM - 11 PM

           11 PM - 7 AM

RESIDENT ADVOCATE I

The Resident Advocate I is a member of the Housing & Shelter Team and works collaboratively with other team members and leadership to provide a clean, safe, and secure environment to residents. This position interacts closely with residents and must provide high-quality customer service to residents and partners. The Resident Advocate I works with shelter residents. Due to the highly interactive nature of this position, the Resident Advocate I must be knowledgeable of conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques. 

RESIDENT ADVOCATE II

Shifts: 7 AM - 3 PM

           3 PM - 11 PM

           11 PM - 7 AM

The Resident Advocate II is a member of the Housing & Shelter Team and will work collaboratively with other team members and leadership to provide a clean, safe, and secure environment to residents. This position interacts closely with residents and must provide high-quality customer service to residents and partners. The Resident Advocate II works with housing and shelter residents. Due to the highly interactive nature of this position, the Resident Advocate II must be knowledgeable of conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.

Shifts: 7 AM - 3 PM

           3 PM - 11 PM

           11 PM - 7 AM

RESIDENT ADVOCATE III

The Resident Advocate III is a member of the Housing & Shelter Team and will work collaboratively with other team members and leadership to provide a clean, safe, and secure environment to residents. This position interacts closely with residents and must provide high-quality customer service to residents and partners. The Resident Advocate III works with housing and shelter residents and performs additional duties. Due to the highly interactive nature of this position, the Resident Advocate III must be knowledgeable of conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
